About the event
Experience the best of Newfoundland’s outdoors with MUNOAS and MUNSU on September 18th! We're taking you on an unforgettable, free Welcome Week hike along the scenic Silver Head Mine Path, known for its coastal cliffs and gentle meadows. The adventure begins with a 5:00pm bus departure from the UC, but if you prefer, you're welcome to meet us directly at Middle Cove Beach using your own transportation.
After the hike, we'll gather around a bonfire on the beach—perfect for relaxing and connecting with fellow students. The event, sponsored by MUNSU, is free and ends at 9:00pm. If you want to cook something over the fire, or share food with friends, bring your own supplies! Remember, you must RSVP at MUNOAS.com to reserve your spot on the bus as spaces are limited. Don’t forget to bring your event pass, a water bottle, and your sense of adventure.Â
Please note, no glass is allowed on the beach, and we follow a strict pack in, pack out philosophy to keep our natural spaces clean.
